This contribution discusses the general approach adopted by Maria Rosa Antognazza in her final and major theoretical opus, Thinking with Assent. The primary features of her proposal, as well as its foundations in the history of philosophy, and its ultimate relationship to faith, are sympathetically, but also critically discussed from the point of view of one who does not share her approach to those questions, yet continues to hold a friendly attitude to her endeavours and her memory.
