Abstract
In Italy, little attention is paid by historical-educational research to the category of prize books, distributed in municipal elementary schools during public ceremonies at the end of the year. The few contributions on the topic address the issue from the sole perspective of publishing houses. The experience of the City of Turin is emblematic for understanding the motivations and process through which the selection of texts takes place, an expression of the desire to combine ethical principles with a concept of healthy enjoyment. There is no shortage, as the title suggests, of publications intended exclusively for female students.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
