Abstract

It is disappointing to consider that the great number of studies on tumor immunology has led to few, if any, rational treatments of cancer. In this paper the immune relationship between host and tumor is evaluated in its distinct phases in order to draw a picture of the reasons of this failure and to evaluate the new emerging immunotherapeutic procedures.
