This critical edition of Vilfredo Pareto's Considerazioni sui Principi dell'Economia Pura is also the first translation in English: it closes a serious gap in the knowledge of the work of one of the founders of modern economic science, a work that exerted a great deal of infleunce in the development of economic theory. The introduction reconstruct the genesis and development of the 'Considerazioni' in the contest of late nineteeth-century mahtematical economic theory.
