The Authors, with the aid of literature's review, and with personal considerations, analyze from the biomeccanic point of view, the clinician-radiologic consequences, of the presence of tarsal synostosis in the adult (calcaneal-scaphoid and calcaneoastragalar formes) and of degenerate pathology correlated too. From the examination of pathologies emerges the necessity to execute early diagnoses of tarsal synostosis for dealing the patients in the childhood/adolescence with less aggressive and invalidating therapies as the artrodesis indicated to the adult subjects in which the degeneration already has established itself. The tarsal synostosis go searched systematically in tarsal pain rebellious to the conservative therapies and in presence of clinical assestment of flat-valgus/cavo-valgus rigid feet.
