Megatophus gouty bilateral of hallux: a case protacted living with the asymptomatic disorder

After a short research on History of Medicine about gout tophaceous, Autors report about a eighty-one years old patient who is afflicted with two enormous bumps in metatarso-phalangeal joint of both halluces. He reports that he has lived well with his disorder because it caused him only poor mechanic trouble. The patient requires a surgical treatment not in deep tissues, but only a removal of skin-deep. After appropriate explication about this pathology and the subseguent fistulization of one of two bumps, the patient consented the surgical treatment. This consists in radical remove of big bumps tophaceous, consecutively for each foot. The results were a perfect healing both deep tissues and skin, and a very good functional recovery.
