Through his genealogic method Nietzsche tried to lead back every statement to the force from which it originates: according to Deleuze, "interpretation" is the critical operation of singling out the force operating in a sentence. What is called "force" is namely the modality or the specific value-formation or meaning-formation mode. We then ask whether it exists a non-nihilistic mode of relation to the truth. Such an hypothesis is discussed on the basis of the aphorism 424 of "Daybreack", where it appears clear that - against other places of the Nietzschean text - the concept of truth draws its nihilistic character from the will that uses it rather that being a nihilistic concept in itself.

Abstract
Through his genealogic method Nietzsche tried to lead back every statement to the force from which it originates: according to Deleuze, "interpretation" is the critical operation of singling out the force operating in a sentence. What is called "force" is namely the modality or the specific value-formation or meaning-formation mode. We then ask whether it exists a non-nihilistic mode of relation to the truth. Such an hypothesis is discussed on the basis of the aphorism 424 of "Daybreack", where it appears clear that - against other places of the Nietzschean text - the concept of truth draws its nihilistic character from the will that uses it rather that being a nihilistic concept in itself.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
