The use of statistical methods for preventive and corrective ends can be included in all the basic processes of a manufacturing concern and are a useful instrument for the continuous monitoring of critical activities. This note provides a statistical application related to felt production for textile industry and furnishings, using control charts and determinating process capability, coherently with quality standard of ISO 9000 series.

Abstract
