The aim of this paper is to describe the theoretical principles and the empirical development of the Integrated Cognitive Antisocial Potential (ICAP) Theory. The ICAP theory reflects the findings of the major longitudinal studies in the Western world, and especially those of the Cambridge Study in Development Delinquency (CSDD), which is a prospective longitudinal study of 411 South-London males from age 8 to age 48. The ICAP theory is intended to address offending.
