L’analisi sistematica di documentazione edita e inedita dimostra che i numerosi poteri signorili locali della valle si sono sviluppati autonomamente e, a posteriori, hanno accettato l’inquadramento dei conti di Savoia. Thanks to this research Aosta is placeable in the kingdom of Burgundy and has the function of window looking at the kingdom of Italy. The systematic analysis of unpublished and published records got an interesting result: a large number of the lordships of the valley were developed without delegation and, «a posteriori», agreed to be organized by the counts of Savoy.
