Fattori associati all’interruzione del consumo di sostanze psicoattive in adolescenza: uno studio sui valori, l’uso del tempo libero, i modelli e gli atteggiamenti dei genitori

We explored the relationships among quitting with tobacco and marijuana, values (on health, school achievement, religion and disapproval of deviance), leisure activity and some aspects of the relationship with the parents (control, disclosure, model and attitude) in 600 young adults (aged 18-20 yrs) attending the last years of high school. We found that: disapproval of deviance is positively related to quitting with both tobacco and marijuana, while value on religion is only related to quitting with tobacco and value on school achievement with quitting with marijuana; having parents who are smokers is negatively related to quitting with tobacco.
