In this paper we aim to provide information on the world of cashmere with particular reference to the italian situation. We underline the difficulties in purchasing from markets far away from ours and the problems related to qualify control of the fiber itself. In spite of these obstacles Italy produces high quality cashmere cloth wich is highly valued at home and abroad.
