The nanosponges are materials obtained by the hyper-reticulation of ß-cyclodextrin. This reaction permits to include in a more stable way organic and inorganic molecules. Additionally, the link due to reticulation gives to the nanosponge the ability to release gradually the molecules. The aim of this work was to determine if the inclusion of growth regulators in nanosponges is able to improve rhizogenesis in Passiflora. An amount of 0.2 mg l-1 and 2 mg l-1of indolbutiric acid and naftalenacetic acid was used to evaluate the complex nanosponge-growth regulators in Passiflora umbilicata, recalcitrant to rhizogenesis and in Passiflora chirriflora, known to have modest rooting competence. In Passiflora umbilicata no rooting activity was detected independently of the growth regulators. In Passiflora chirriflora, IBA-included in nanosponges didn’t amplify the number of rooted explants compared with the control, while NAA-included increased the development of roots/microshoot from 1.1 to 6.3. Moreover in the same species NAAincluded was able to induce the rhizogenesis event about 10 days earlier compared with the control. These findings suggest that, the role of nanosponge as vector for the submission of growth regulators, significantly enhanced plant propagation, either with traditional methods or by in vitro culture.

Abstract
These findings suggest that, the role of nanosponge as vector for the submission of growth regulators, significantly enhanced plant propagation, either with traditional methods or by in vitro culture.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
