In the first part of this paper we present a FCN subroutine of the program MINUIT (developed in CERN Geneva by F. James and M. Roos) able to perform deconvolutions of experimental curves in up to 13 peaks. The number of peaks, their analytical dependence and their symmetry can be defined interactively by the user. In the second part different examples are given which demonstrate the high degree of versatility of this software.

Abstract

In the first part of this paper we present a FCN subroutine of the program MINUIT (developed in CERN Geneva by F. James and M. Roos) able to perform deconvolutions of experimental curves in up to 13 peaks. The number of peaks, their analytical dependence and their symmetry can be defined interactively by the user. In the second part different examples are given which demonstrate the high degree of versatility of this software.
