This book, recalling the history of the cinema of the United States, examines the most common models of urban building staging categories of analysis bundling products belonging to film genres, poetics and different styles. It is a path through uncertain and unstable platforms of modernity and postmodernity, trying to build, if not an identification, at least an intimate link to (but often morbid and perverse) among the subjects (the characters), objects (rooms, buildings), and a cinematic language that suffers, where it was possible and considered important and relevant, the infiltration of ideas (aesthetic, sociological, anthropological) about American architecture and urbanism.
