This article focus on the only Italian translation made of Gerona (1874), the seventh Episodio Nacional of the Spanish writer Benito Pérez Galdós. This Italian version was published by Bompiani in 1944. The study deals with cultural, literary and linguistic aspects and emphasizes on the linguistic subject through a variety of examples from the Italian text.
