Exclusion of Juniperus oxycedrus L. subsp. macrocarpa (Sibth. & Sm.) Neilr. (Cupressaceae) from the Piedmont flora and presence of Juniperus oxyce- drus L. subsp. oxycedrus. Analysis of herbarium specimens present in the collections of Herbarium of Dipartimento di Biologia vegetale of the University of Turin (TO) and of the refer- ences highlighted that the presence of Juniperus oxycedrus L. subsp. macrocarpa (Sibth. & Sm.) Neilr. (Cupressaceae) ( J. macrocarpa Sibth. & Sm.) had been indi- cated in Piedmont in the past in the Site of Community Importance IT1110030, located is Susa Valley between Monpantero and Foresto. Morphological and mor- phometric analyses on specimens collected in the field and on herbarium speci- mens demonstrated that all the samples are to be referred to Juniperus oxycedrus L. subsp. oxycedrus , and consequently that Juniperus oxycedrus L. subsp. macro- carpa (Sibth. & Sm.) Neilr. has to be excluded from the flora of the Region.
