Abstract

In this short note a previously unrecognized parallel to a Thomas saying in Origen’s work is presented: in a paragraph of the Commentary on Matthew 14,14 dense with biblical quotations, a remembrance of the same logion recorded in Gos.Thom. 62,1 emerges. This piece of evidence might be included in the dossier concerning the relationship between Origen and the Gospel of Thomas, on which recent scholarship has turned its attention.
