Within Angelo Poliziano's autograph notes on the Odyssey preserved in ms. Par. gr. 3069 is to be found a so far unnoticed reference to the first printed edition of the Homeric Poems, published in 1488. This provides us with a «terminus post quem» for the chronology of Poliziano's course on the Odyssey, which might date back to 1488-89 or 1489-90.
