After ultrasonographic pregnancy diagnosis and relaxine test, abortion was induced in a selected group of 22 dogs using pharmacological protocol (cloprostenol and cabergoline). Each subject was submitted to blood collecting for monitoring the drop of the progesterone and scanner exam for confirming the effectiveness of the treatment. The course of the progesterone levels shows that values incompatible with pregnancy appear early respect ultrasonographic signs of foetal death.
