In this chapter we sketch the functionalities of a system for the integration of sensor data transmitted by a fleet of unmanned aircrafts for territory surveillance and protection from natural disasters. Some of the functionalities of the system are based on the Service Oriented Architecture paradigm (Erl, 2005) and follows Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards (Open Geospatial Consortium) for the representation of geographical data in a multidimensional, spatio-temporal view. We present the complete system architecture and discuss the details of the various services. Among the services for the management and simulation of tactical planning, management of data and streaming video, the system presents a service for the annotation of the interesting spatial objects. Annotation deploys the web services (Alonso, Casati, Kuno, & Machiraju, 2004) exported by OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap) with the purpose to exploit the on-line information sources continuously fed-up by the social networks communities.

Abstract
Annotation deploys the web services (Alonso, Casati, Kuno, & Machiraju, 2004) exported by OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap) with the purpose to exploit the on-line information sources continuously fed-up by the social networks communities.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
