Abstract

In the recent years, in political and intellectual contexts but also in the media and in the popular culture, the comparison between the United States of America and the Ancient Rome became increasingly frequent and widespread. This comparison, despite its contemporary specificity, refers to a similar comparison that the Founding Fathers worked on the construction of the new indipendent state. In particular, the ancient theme of mixed government was hired as a model for the new republican system that was buiding up.
