Evaluation of the reaction capability of youths through the development of an experimental project. Analysis of the results

The aim of this research has been to verify the hypothesis of the influence of the team game practice of the ball tamburello on the co-ordinative abilities‘ increase, parallelly to the improvement of the simple reaction time to an optic stimulus, of the simple reaction time to an acoustic stimulus and of the complex reaction time to an optic stimulus. The choice to propose this game has been conceived on the considerations about its usefulness as a way to increase the co-ordinative abilities of the students, aiming to the sharpening of the sense-motor co-ordination ability, on the oculo-manual co-ordination, on the self organization in the horizontal and vertical spaces and on the anticipation ability. Moreover, this game allows to influence the conditional abilities and, for its play-character, satisfies the secondary school children’s expectations allowing the expression of the single and team abilities.
