Psychoanalysis as a journey

Written over a long period of time, this book is dedicated to problems which arose in psychoanalysis after Freud’s (but also after Melanie Klein’s) discoveries. While the authors Borgogno focuses on may not be discoverers of continents, their importance is nonetheless crucial and dialogue with them none the less instructive. There has been an ongoing re-appraisal of analysts like Paula Heimann or Sándor Ferenczi for some time now, but the version we are given here has been written by a scholar who has been one of the main architects of their re-evaluation.
