Let A be a Noetherian ring and a,b, a regular sequence such that the ideals aA and $aA+bA$ are prime; then the divisor class group $Cl(A[X,Y]/(aX+bY))$ splits into the direct sum ${\bbfZ}\oplus Cl(A)$. Some partial results are also true in the non noetherian case.
