Recent results of the analysis of ppBAR annihilation at rest in gaseous hydrogen both at NTP and at low pressure (5 mbar) are presented. For the first time, a strong contribution from P-wave annihilation is obtained by changing the pressure of the gas target. The results of the fit of the NTP sample agree with the expected total-annihilation branching ratios from the S-wave as well as with the ''ppi nuzzle''. The fit of the low-pressure sample shows the small contribution of the total S-wave annihilation. In this case, we do not observe the dominance of the triplet state. The coupled analysis of the two samples shows a better agreement with the experimental data when a structure is introduced at 1.56 GeV.

Abstract
Recent results of the analysis of ppBAR annihilation at rest in gaseous hydrogen both at NTP and at low pressure (5 mbar) are presented. For the first time, a strong contribution from P-wave annihilation is obtained by changing the pressure of the gas target. The results of the fit of the NTP sample agree with the expected total-annihilation branching ratios from the S-wave as well as with the ''ppi nuzzle''. The fit of the low-pressure sample shows the small contribution of the total S-wave annihilation. In this case, we do not observe the dominance of the triplet state. The coupled analysis of the two samples shows a better agreement with the experimental data when a structure is introduced at 1.56 GeV.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
