This investigation deals with coordination compounds of oxovanadium(IV) with L-malic and L-tartaric acids in aqueous solution. The different binary systems are studied by potentiometric and spectroscopic techniques. Electronic paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy (EPR) at room temperature and molecular absorption spectrophotometry are employed. A speciation model is proposed for all the metal/ligand systems from potentiometric data and it is checked by means of a computational modelling (DFT = Density Functional Theory).

Abstract
This investigation deals with coordination compounds of oxovanadium(IV) with L-malic and L-tartaric acids in aqueous solution. The different binary systems are studied by potentiometric and spectroscopic techniques. Electronic paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy (EPR) at room temperature and molecular absorption spectrophotometry are employed. A speciation model is proposed for all the metal/ligand systems from potentiometric data and it is checked by means of a computational modelling (DFT = Density Functional Theory).File in questo prodotto:
