WE HAVE SELECTED THE METEOROLOGICAL STATIONS BELONGING TO THE EX-NATIONAL HYDROGRAPHIC MAREOGRAPHIC SERVICE, NOW ARPA (REGIONAL AGENCY FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION) PIEDMONT. THAT HAVE CONTINUOUSLY MEASURED THE TEMPERATURES AND PRECIPITATION FROM 1951 TO 2006. WE HAVE CALCULATED THE SEASONAL STANDARDIZED ANOMALIES FOR THE MAXIMUM MINIMUM TEMPERATURES SERIES AND FOR THE PRECIPITATIONS SERIES AND THEN WE HAVE ESTIMATED THE CORRELATION COEFFICIENT BETWEEN THE SERIES OF NAO INDEX USING THE PRINCIPAL COMPONENT ANALYSIS (PCA).

Abstract
