Scripta volant is a small analog sound installation created for Invisible design event by Logotel curated by Stefano Maffei and Susanna Legrenzi, in the occasion of Milan Design Week 2013. It consists of a small blackboard with a piezo connected to a loudspeaker put into a glass jar filled with feathers. Writing activity is captured as a signal that makes feather fly into the jar. Rather than an act of memorisation that immobilise a content (scripta manent), writing is represented by means of its mechanics. So, like words, scripta volant.

Abstract
