The aim of this paper is to present the first results of the an interdisciplinary research which aims at understanding if Turin has the assets and skills to build and manage a local food system, following a territorial approach. This analysis goes further a previous step of deconstruction of the relationships between the “smart city” discourse and food policies and practices presented in the 5th Aesop Conference on Sustainable Food Planning, in Montpellier . In the first step of the research, presented in this paper, food-related practices and processes ongoing in Turin metropolitan area are interpreted through the conceptual framework of resilience.

Abstract
