The dream of a global ecosystem for the dissemination of science and education finds today the main obstacle in the laws of intellectual property. For example, a “Massive Open Online Course" does not allow full use of its learning objects. Because the correct concept of “fair use” does not apply in the majority of cases, would be necessary a new cultural revolution in order to induce researchers and teachers to adopt licenses “Creative Commons ". This would allow other authors to use all or part of the fruit of their labor. Fortunately, also in our country this revolution is taking its first steps. The projects "matematicamente.it” and the so-called "Free Portal of Science and School”, promoted by the Department of Control and Computer Engineering at the Polytechnic of Turin, can represent good examples.
