The aim of the paper is to present the critical states connected to the “quarry wastes” management (D.Lgs. 117/08 e L. 13/09). In particular the Authors would like to show an illustrative scheme, potentially useful for the administration of the different kinds of “wastes”, depending on the specific (Italian) regulations. It will also provide some thought cues and/or some samples of applicative experiences on specific topics, such as: valorisation of coarse quarry wastes (potentially useful for aggregates production), ancient quarry dumps management (eg. production of secondary raw materials from the recovery and specific treatment of the material set in dumps), reuse of processing plants wastes and, at last but not least, residual sludge management (from processing plant and from quarry exploitation).

Abstract
The aim of the paper is to present the critical states connected to the “quarry wastes” management (D.Lgs. 117/08 e L. 13/09). In particular the Authors would like to show an illustrative scheme, potentially useful for the administration of the different kinds of “wastes”, depending on the specific (Italian) regulations. It will also provide some thought cues and/or some samples of applicative experiences on specific topics, such as: valorisation of coarse quarry wastes (potentially useful for aggregates production), ancient quarry dumps management (eg. production of secondary raw materials from the recovery and specific treatment of the material set in dumps), reuse of processing plants wastes and, at last but not least, residual sludge management (from processing plant and from quarry exploitation).File | Dimensione | Formato | |
