Over the last few years, freight villages have become increasingly important. The actual competition has rewarded their ability to promote industrial development, to combine optimally different types of transport and to allow a comparison price/service that cannot be equaled to individual means of transport. The study of the German association “Deutsche GVZ GesellschaftmbH (DGG)” was the starting point of this work, which proposes the first ranking on European freight villages, underlining the excellence and leadership of the Italian structures. The scope of the work was to understand whether intermodal and logistic centers, which consider environment, ethics, quality and safety, also perform better in the aforementioned ranking. The originality consists of assessing how management systems can influence the performance of complex logistic structures such as the freight villages.

Abstract
The originality consists of assessing how management systems can influence the performance of complex logistic structures such as the freight villages.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
