The paper provides an outline of the relations maintained by Kassite Babylonia with Assyria, Ḫatti and Egypt during the 13th century BC and addresses the problems related to two specific moments of the common histories of these Great Powers: the chronological setting of the interdynastic marriages between Babylonia and Ḫatti and the struggle for the throne of Babylon that followed the end of the Assyrian interregnum.
