A research programme has been initiated at the Laboratory of Anthropology of the University of Turin in collaboration with the Pathological Anatomy Department of the University of Genoa to capitalise on the scientific and historic value of the biological collections of Turin's Anthropology and Ethnography Museum. Most activities focus on macro and microscopic assessment of bone specimen preservation conditions and on improving the preservation conditions of specimens over time. This work presents two action proposals on bone specimens. Our research aims to assess and fine-tune cleaning and restoration activities of museum collections with a high historic and scientific value.

Abstract
A research programme has been initiated at the Laboratory of Anthropology of the University of Turin in collaboration with the Pathological Anatomy Department of the University of Genoa to capitalise on the scientific and historic value of the biological collections of Turin's Anthropology and Ethnography Museum. Most activities focus on macro and microscopic assessment of bone specimen preservation conditions and on improving the preservation conditions of specimens over time. This work presents two action proposals on bone specimens. Our research aims to assess and fine-tune cleaning and restoration activities of museum collections with a high historic and scientific value.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
