On the basis of a selection of passages extracted from the last novel of Pierre Lepori, Come cani and his autotranslation in French Comme un chien, respectively published by Effigie Edizioni and the Editions d’en bas in 2015, the present contribution aims at analysing the elements of stylistic differentiation as well as the linguistic features relating to the author’s bilingualism and biculturalism. The parallel observation of a series of examples in Italian and French will highlight the range of stylistic, interlinguistic, intercultural operations deployed by Lepori within a real process of recreation.

Abstract

On the basis of a selection of passages extracted from the last novel of Pierre Lepori, Come cani and his autotranslation in French Comme un chien, respectively published by Effigie Edizioni and the Editions d’en bas in 2015, the present contribution aims at analysing the elements of stylistic differentiation as well as the linguistic features relating to the author’s bilingualism and biculturalism. The parallel observation of a series of examples in Italian and French will highlight the range of stylistic, interlinguistic, intercultural operations deployed by Lepori within a real process of recreation.
