Semiótica de la fotografía con los ojos de Graciela Iturbide

We focus our research on the language of photography through the visual and con- ceptual contributions of Mexican photographer Graciela Iturbide. The theoretical considera- tions, mostly linked to visual semiotics and the semiotics of the body, intersect with studies on the rostrosphere and the philosophy of the face relevant to this volume. The images in the arti- cle illustrate representative aspects of Mexico and Latin America from a critical and creative vi- sion where the decolonial substratum dialogues with a hybrid and syncretic contemporaneity.
