Abstract
We propose a novel coupling technique for polar codes via a special kernel that enables efficient sliding window decoding. This feature allows to reduce the memory requirement of the decoder, an important possibility in wireless communication downlink scenarios. Our approach is based on the design of an ad-hoc kernel to be inserted in a multi-kernel polar code framework. Simulation results show that the proposed sliding window polar codes outperform polar codes transmitted in independent blocks at a negligible additional decoding overhead.File in questo prodotto:
