Abstract

Several spectrometer upgrades are planned for future phases of the AMBER (NA66) experiment at CERN. Among these upgrades, the replacement of some aging Multi-Wire Proportional Chambers has motivated a R&D program to develop a Micro-Pattern Gaseous Detector and its front-end electronics. The results of testing the first small Micromegas prototype with the TIGER-based front-end are presented.
