Ensuring protection for people and communities from the risk of technological development - Preventing damage and insurance solutions

The topic of the chapter is that of the protection of people and communities from risks arising out of technological development, using tools to prevent damages caused by technological damages or providing a compensation to those damaged by way of insurance. My investigation is mainly concentrated on the European legislation solutions to the problems arising from technological development, especially for damages caused by robots, drones and artificial Intelligence. A special attention is devoted to the cases of damages that occurred to people suffering some form of physical or mental limitation, such as disabled, elderly or children.
