This Introduction provides an overview of the literature on Kant's account of the systematicity of science, focusing in particular on studies that relate Kant's views to the historical context, on analyses of his general account of the systematicity of science, and on interpretations of his view on the systematicity of philosophy and the systematicity of nature. We then turn to an overview of the chapters in the collection, dividing them into the three parts that constitute it. The first part focuses on historical precursors of Kant's account of the systematicity of the sciences. The second part is dedicated to Kant's own account of the systematicity of the special sciences, providing several in-depth case studies of sciences as different as logic and cosmology, mathematics and physical anthropology, physics, the life sciences, and history. Finally, the third part addresses Kant's views concerning the systematicity of philosophy. We close by summarizing, in nine theses, the main claims of Kant's philosophical account of the systematicity of science as they emerge from the contributions to this volume.

Abstract
We close by summarizing, in nine theses, the main claims of Kant's philosophical account of the systematicity of science as they emerge from the contributions to this volume.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
