The MPAI (Moving Picture, Audio and Data Coding by Artificial Intelligence) organization has defined an AI Framework (AIF) whereby components performing AI-based data processing are connected with each other through standard interfaces to form workflows. In the present paper, we describe a prototype implementation of the AIF on the Zephyr RTOS running on an STMicroelectronics IoT node discovery kit that offers features typical of a wearable device. The described prototype is the first implementation of the AIF standard, and as such it has served as an initial practical validation of the specification when applied to the world of embedded systems. This successful step opens the way to many future extensions within the IoT context.

Abstract
The MPAI (Moving Picture, Audio and Data Coding by Artificial Intelligence) organization has defined an AI Framework (AIF) whereby components performing AI-based data processing are connected with each other through standard interfaces to form workflows. In the present paper, we describe a prototype implementation of the AIF on the Zephyr RTOS running on an STMicroelectronics IoT node discovery kit that offers features typical of a wearable device. The described prototype is the first implementation of the AIF standard, and as such it has served as an initial practical validation of the specification when applied to the world of embedded systems. This successful step opens the way to many future extensions within the IoT context.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
