Update to 2023 of the 2013 data concerning the Italian Alps provided by the Fifth Report on the State of the Alps published in 2015 by the Alpine Convention. This chapter contains data on the structure of the resident population in the Italian Alpine municipalities, with reference to the main indicators of interest here and through the realisation of the relevant maps (LAU2 level). Specifically, data and maps are presented on: resident population and population density, birth rate, elderly population, old age index, population growth rate, total resident population balance, foreign resident population, natural change and migratory change.
