Abstract

Liver metastases remain a major cause of death for colon cancer patients. We provide a novel approach for profiling protein signatures of liver metastasis microenvironments, with the aim of understanding the molecular mechanisms of metastatization, as well as of designing target diagnostic/therapeutic strategies. We report the identification of 203 human liver metastasis-binding peptides that mimic an extracellular signature of 177 networking proteins.
