Abstract
SPLISURF is a Matlab tool that performs the construction of local bivariate quadratic C^1 quasi - interpolating splines defined as a linear combination of B-splines, both on uniform and non uniform type-2 triangulations, as described in: C. Dagnino - P. Lamberti, On C^1 quasi-interpolating splines with type-2 triangulations. Progetto MURST "Analisi Numerica: Metodi e Software Matematico", Monografia n. 4, Ferrara (2000) where an overview of the main properties of such splines are presented, numerical and graphical results obtained by SPLISURF on a set of test functions are reported and the reference manual is given. Such monograph is available at the authors'.
