Detailed experimental knowledge of Standard Model processes will be essential to prepare for discoveries at future colliders and for their interpretation. In addition to its large discovery potential, the Large Hadron Collider will allow to perform several precision electroweak measurements, often improving the current experimental precision thanks to its large centre-of-mass energy and high luminosity. The perspective of the ATLAS and CMS experiments in selected fields of electroweak physics, including W and top physics, Drell-Yan production of lepton pairs, and Triple Gauge Boson Couplings is presented.

Abstract
Detailed experimental knowledge of Standard Model processes will be essential to prepare for discoveries at future colliders and for their interpretation. In addition to its large discovery potential, the Large Hadron Collider will allow to perform several precision electroweak measurements, often improving the current experimental precision thanks to its large centre-of-mass energy and high luminosity. The perspective of the ATLAS and CMS experiments in selected fields of electroweak physics, including W and top physics, Drell-Yan production of lepton pairs, and Triple Gauge Boson Couplings is presented.File in questo prodotto:
