Abstract

The average delay in the Delta interconnection network of a multiprocessor system developed for artificial intelligence applications is studied using different approaches. The investigation is performed using a grossly approximate analytically tractable model, as well as a model based on generalized stochastic Petri nets. The accuracy of the estimates obtained is assessed by comparison with the results provided by a detailed simulation model.
