Certification and Accreditation of the Centre for Excellence SAA - School of Management of the University of Turin

The School of Business Administration (SAA) - born in 1957 in Turin - is the only Italian Business School integrating part of the university order that issue legal recognized diplomas; it has introduced, since years ‘60, learning programs build on the real requirements of the entrepreneurial world. The SAA obtained, at the beginning of the year 2005, the ISO 9001:2000 certification and was accredited for the quality in education from the institutional competent Body of the Regione Piemonte. Its complex organizational structure has been reflected in a Quality and Accreditation Management System Manual, comprehensive of numerous integrated procedures, operative instructions and records. The present work analyses the experience of the implementation of a Certification and an Accreditation System, coherently both with the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard (Vision 2000) and with the regional parameters.
