The safety and health process control for a complex organization like an University - aggregation of heterogeneous entities where not only professors, researchers, technical and administrative personnel, but also external stakeholders carry out their activity - represents a necessary condition in order to guarantee a high occupational grade of quality. To such aim, after deepening the normative aspects concerning safety within Universities, it has been analysed the evolution of the organizational model for occupational health and safety in the University of Turin with particular reference to the subjects playing active roles for a responsible safety management.

Abstract
