In this paper we describe STAR+, a Web-based system that integrates different AI techniques to provide the user with a unified experience related to the cultural heritage of a territory.STAR exploits a configuration engine to support the user in organizing a personalized agenda to spend some time in a given geographical area, and a recommendation module that,on the basis of the content of the agenda, suggests related products (e.g., typical food,handicraft products, books) that the user can buy on-line.The main motivation underlying STAR+ is that an important factor for a successful promotion of the cultural heritage of a territory is the integration of all the aspects it involves.We think that two notions can play a major role in this direction:integration of heterogeneous information sources and personalization.STAR+ is a first step towards this goal.
